Initial consultation

Your Initial Consultation will last for 45 minutes. It begins with you completing a comprehensive health questionnaire, which enables the chiropractor to obtain an immediate overview of your health concerns.You will then sit with the chiropractor and discuss your key problem and any other issues you may have. A thorough physical, orthopaedic and chiropractic examination of your whole musculoskeletal system, including the problematic area/s, will then be carried out. You may also be given a scan with a surface EMG Scanner to determine any areas of dysfunction in your spine.

Report of findings

Following your Initial Consultation you will be invited for a Report of Findings appointment. During this appointment your chiropractor will explain the results of the initial consultation and advise you on an appropriate treatment plan, tailored to meet your needs. They will also discuss with you how long it should take to make a recovery and how you can help yourself get better.All of this information will also be given to you in a written report for you to take away and keep.

If appropriate your first treatment visit can then begin straight away.

Treatment visits

Treatment visits include chiropractic manual therapy and appropriate supporting therapies such as massage and acupuncture. Home advice will be given and may include exercises, stretches, postural correction and nutritional advice. Rehabilitation exercise programmes are based on the famous cutting
edge Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization technique from the Prague School of Rehabilitation.
