Optional free mini consultation

If you are unsure whether chiropractic can help you please use our free mini consultation service to discuss your condition with a chiropractor. This 15 minute appointment will help you decide whether chiropractic is right for you.

Initial consultation

Your Initial Consultation will last for 60 minutes. It begins with you completing a comprehensive health questionnaire, which enables the chiropractor to obtain an immediate overview of your health concerns. You will then sit with the chiropractor and discuss your key problem and any other issues you may have. A thorough physical, orthopaedic and chiropractic examination of your whole musculoskeletal system, including the problematic area/s, will then be carried out. You may also be given a scan with a surface EMG Scanner to determine any areas of dysfunction in your spine.

Report of findings

Following your Initial Consultation you will be invited for a Report of Findings appointment. During this appointment your chiropractor will explain the results of the initial consultation and advise you on an appropriate treatment plan, tailored to meet your needs. They will also discuss with you how long it should take to make a recovery and how you can help yourself get better. All of this information will also be given to you in a written report for you to take away and keep.

If appropriate your first treatment visit can then begin straight away.

Treatment visits

Treatment visits include chiropractic manual therapy and appropriate supporting therapies such as massage and acupuncture. Home advice will be given and may include exercises, stretches, postural correction and nutritional advice. Rehabilitation exercise programmes are based on the famous cutting
edge Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization technique from the Prague School of Rehabilitation.

At this clinic we specialise in Sacro-Occipital Technique (a post graduate chiropractic technique). Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT) is a popular, gentle, advanced system of care aimed at analysing and treating the whole body. It uses a sophisticated system of indicators to determine where the main problem lies (not always where the pain is). The treatment is gentle and can be tailored to the patient; as such it can be almost pain free. If you request it this can be done without the traditional ‘cracking’ of joints. It includes various approaches such as cranial manipulation, massage and manipulation of any of the joints of the body.

Health care class

The Health Care Class is a free workshop covering topics such as: exercise, posture, stretches and nutritional advice. Its aim is to give you the appropriate advice so that you may change your lifestyle to speed up your recovery, prevent a relapse in your condition and maintain a healthy spine. The class is 1 to 2 hours in duration and is held once or twice a month.
