At Headingley Chiropractic Clinic, our fully qualified chiropractors based in Leeds are passionate about providing you with the best possible chiropractic care. We are here to help you regain the fitness you once had, to recover your mobility and of course, our aim is always to keep you living a pain-free life.
Our philosophy is one of consistent innovation; serving you with the latest, most effective chiropractic care. As such, our chiropractors have all studied Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) which is one of the most gentle, comprehensive, holistic, post-graduate chiropractic techniques used in the UK. More information on this technique can be found on sotoeurope.org.
It is a well-known fact that the vast majority of back and neck pain reoccurs, therefore, we believe that whilst it is essential to get you out of pain – giving you an exercise regime to build a fitter, stronger you to prevent the pain coming back is also very important.
Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation Technique (DNS) is a cutting-edge rehabilitation exercise regime that our chiropractors have extensive training in. Along with lifestyle advice and chiropractic manipulation, we use DNS as a tool to help us get to the very root of the problem; providing a cure rather than just a patch. We want to give a long-lasting solution that means you don’t have to rely on us, but can be safe in the knowledge we are here to support you.
We believe the more holistically your health problem is treated, the better the chances of recovery. We can do this by working with a network of practitioners from different medical disciplines, ranging from podiatrists, holistic dentists, masseurs, all the way to homeopaths. If we can’t help you ourselves, we will help find someone who can.
Mark Butterworth’s passion to help you get better has led him to spend hundreds of hours in postgraduate education. With over 20 years’ experience, he has attained the status of Advanced SOT Practitioner and Craniopath (the highest exam that can be taken in SOT). He’s also the current Chairman of the Yorkshire Faculty of the Royal College of Chiropractors and has achieved certification in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation (DNS). DNS is taught by the Prague School of Rehabilitation who look after sporting stars such as Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and the National Theatre Ballet Prague.
Mark’s training in various techniques enables him to tailor the treatment to best suit your needs and take you from pain relief to full strength (so there is every chance the pains will not come back).
